Blackborough End Tip 0900 - 1130am
30 Gadwall, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Dunlin over west, 30 GBBGull, 300+ Herring Gull, 5+ "argentatus", LBB Gull c50 nearly all ads,
Massingham Area 1230 - 2pm
12 Common Buzzard, 1 ad fem Rough-legged Buzzard, noticeable Fieldfare movement - 3-400 birds passing north, also 200+ Starling, 1 Sparrowhawk & 2 Kestrel.
Managed couple of record shots of the Rough-leg see below
Sennowe Area 230 - 4pm
200 Chaffinch, 50 Greenfinch, 50 Yellowhammer & 1o Reed Bunting feeding on flattened maize nr Railway bridge
50 Collared Dove at Colkirk in farmyard.
Barn Owls 1 Foxley wood, 2 Sennowe Park area, 1 Colkirk & 1 Foulsham airfield

4th March 2006 Holme
07:45am - 11:30am Cloud very cold, frost overnight
6-7 Barn Owls noted en-route, inclusive of 2 in front of our cottage. Also 1 freshly dead at the side of A149 nr Fakenham, birds appear to be desperate for food and are hunting roadside verges well into daylight hours.
At Holme highlights were 8 Long-tailed Duck, off Gore Pt, and 4 Brambling around the Obs area. Others 180 Brent, 5+ Little Egret, 100 Lapwing, 20 Goldfinch.
1200 Titchwell
25 Avocet, 10 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Grey Plover, 2 Spotted Redshank, 1 Ruff, 6 Snipe, 10 Pintail. 1 Water Rail and 6 Brambling coming to the feeders

9:30 Santon Downham
10 Siskin, 1 Woodlark & we located the elusive Great Grey Shrike, seen intermittently since November.
1000 - 1330 Mayday farm
Up to 8 Woodlark singing & 1 Red-tailed Hawk (escape).
Amazing drinking pool with mass of birds coming down:-
10 Crossbill, 10 Brambling, 40 Lesser Redpoll, 2+ Mealy Redpoll, 100+ Siskin, also 20 Goldfinch and 20+ Chaffinch.
1430 -1700 Lakenheath Fen
