The first 4 shots were taken during a visit to the New Forest at the start of July, although due to the preceding poor weather numbers of insects were disappointing, the American Mink was taken in Surrey nr Fleet at Pyestock Hill, whilst trying to photograph Downy & Brilliant Emeralds. The Purple Emperor, Ruddy Darter, Ringlet & Gatekeeper were all taken during a visit in mid July to Fermyn Wood. The Marbled White were at Ketton Quarry on the Northants/Leics border
