July 5th -  Insect guided day tour - Mid & North Norfolk

A specific day tour for searching out Silver studded Blue & Keeled Skimmer.
Despite poor early conditions we located several roosting Keeled Skimmer (10+) in driving rain, and were able to get some nice
Keeled Skimmer images. Later in the day the weather brightened & at another site I  located 100+ Silver-studded Blue, 1 White Admiral, 3 Comma, & many Meadow Brown. Again we got some nice Silver-studded Blue images.

Also at this site I counted
1000+ Marsh Helleborine, plus Fragrant Orchid & Heath Spotted Orchid

I made several further visits to this site on 14th & 17th to get further images of the Silver-studded Blues, we also discovered a family party of Woodlarks. On 19th Marsh Gentian was also starting flower.
