The chance to study passerine, wader & wildfowl migration, combined with the possibilities of seeing scarce and rare birds. Every autumn thousands of Arctic & Scandinavian migrant birds pass along the coast of Norfolk, we will be looking at each of the groups from warblers, finches, pipits, terns, shorebirds & wildfowl. This is when the potential for big numbers of birds reaches it's peak, this combined with the chance of rare & scarce bird amongst them makes this a very excting period!

We will look carefully at the identification of all these groups & we will also practice call recognition, whilst studying overhead migration.

Over the three days we will visit many coastal localities along the North & East Norfolk coast. We will undoubtedly see a vast array of birds, recording over 100 species we will also have the chance of a rarity!
